Trade Area

The geographic zone a business draws customers from — used for site selection and market analysis.

A trade area is the region around a location from which it draws most of its customers, often defined by a radius or drive time. Understanding a trade area's population, income and competition is central to retail and franchise site selection.

Neighbourly's Business layer returns trade-area density aggregates — sector breakdowns, active-business rates and POI counts — from a coordinate and radius, alongside the demographics of the surrounding catchment.

Trade Area is part of the Neighbourly data platform. Explore the API or browse the data layers.
