Today we want to share where that platform stands in mid-2026 and, in particular, the work we have been doing through the year on Neighbourly v2. What is new in Neighbourly v2
Neighbourly v2, which we have been building throughout 2026, represents a significant step forward for developers who rely on our API. The headline additions are a first-class GraphQL surface for more flexible, precise queries, first-class webhooks for real-time event notifications so your systems stay in sync without polling, and a rebuilt resolver that delivers meaningfully faster response times across the board. GraphQL lets a team request exactly the fields it needs in a single round trip, eliminating the over-fetching and chained calls that used to bloat integrations. Webhooks flip the model from pull to push, so a change in the underlying data reaches your application the moment it happens rather than on your next poll. And the rebuilt resolver underpins our 40ms median response time and 99.9% uptime, sustaining performance even as the platform now serves more than a billion API calls a month. These are the features our users asked for most, and they reflect how teams actually build modern property applications today.

A platform, not a single product
Neighbourly.io has always been the foundation, but the Homicity platform has grown around it. Homeprint, Lenderoo, Houzey and Agentous each address a distinct part of the real estate workflow, from property insights to lending to the agent experience. The design principle is consistency: shared, structured Canadian property data underpinning every layer, so that intelligence built in one place carries through to the next.
Residentiae and Permit Atlas now live
This spring we added two important pieces. Residentiae, launched in May, brings a dedicated luxury property search experience to the platform. Permit Atlas, expanded in June, delivers building-permit data as a first-class dataset, giving developers, lenders and analysts direct access to one of the most important leading indicators of housing supply. Both are now live and integrated with the broader platform, extending the range of what teams can build on Homicity.
Why real-time data matters more than ever
The market of 2026 is defined by normalization, a persistent focus on supply, and the mainstreaming of AI and automated valuation. In that environment, the value of accurate, real-time property data compounds. Automated models are only as good as the data feeding them, and lagging or incomplete inputs produce lagging or incomplete decisions. What comes next
Neighbourly v2 is a milestone, not a finish line. Our goal remains what it has always been: to be the intelligence layer for Canadian real estate, giving the people who build and finance and transact in this market the data they need to do it well.
