Reverse geocoding is the opposite of geocoding: instead of turning an address into a coordinate, it takes a coordinate and returns the place it falls within — an address, neighbourhood, city or province.
Neighbourly reverse-geocodes a point to the most specific boundary that contains it, using point-in-polygon queries against its geopolitical hierarchy — for example, resolving a GPS location to its neighbourhood slug.
