A centroid is the single lat/lng point that represents the centre of a polygon. It's useful for placing a map marker on an area, labelling a boundary, or computing distances between places without dealing with full geometry.
Every level of the Neighbourly hierarchy — from province to neighbourhood — carries a pre-computed centroid alongside its boundary and bounding box.
